WILLEMSTAD.- Once again, the undocumented fled the barracks. This happened a few hours before parliamentarians made a visit to the undocumented in the prison.
Approximately at 5.20 in the afternoon, it was perceived that 21 people were missing from the group of 38 who were detained in the barracks. This group of 21 is part of the group of 32 undocumented people who were waiting for a sentence for May 23rd, in order to verify if they could be transformed into refugee status. All these undocumented are Venezuelans.
The undocumented who fled from the barracks yesterday at dawn forced some bars. They tied a sheet in the bars and with human force pulled them to the point of bending them so that they gave way and remained semi-open making it easy to escape. In this way they managed to escape from the barracks.
The undocumented were assigned in a barrack while arranging another location, to house them in better conditions. This last barrack was temporary and managed to escape from it. What EXTRA handled as information from there, was that there were many undocumented Venezuelan women entering illegally, but now the roles were reversed and there are more men who are entering our country.
The investigations will continue until the arrest of these people, but the question that floats in the environment is where they will be located.
