The Ombudsman of Curaçao has therefore been advocating for years for a policy in which all citizens have equal access to water under all circumstances. This right is essential, especially for the vulnerable groups in our society. In view of the developments surrounding the corona virus, the Ombudsman reiterates his view that the water policy in Curaçao should be reviewed in such a way that it can be guaranteed that all citizens, even after this crisis has passed, have access to clean water.
