WILLEMSTAD – Zakito District Cooling intends to provide cooling to all the suitable, basically centralized cooled, buildings between Rif and Piscadera, such as the different hotels, World Trade Center Curaçao, Residence Piscadera, and the New Hospital. Liane Virginia-Cova (Acting director of, Analytisch Diagnostisch Centrum, ADC): “For the construction plans of our new building, we are looking for solutions that contribute to sustainability, reliability, quality and lower costs. With Zakito District Cooling we expect to achieve that for the cooling of the new ADC building in Otrobanda. ZakitoDC will make it possible, without additional investments, to make our activities less sensitive to the ever-fluctuating energy costs. Also for us cooling amounts to 70-80% of the energy costs. ”

Gilbert Gouverneur (Director Zakito District Cooling) “There is now only a limited amount of capacity left to connect customers to the primary circuit, which results in the highest savings for the client. For (new) buildings that are still flexible in the cooling technology and design of the building which will be applied, there is still enough room on the secondary circuit, provided the correct technology is chosen. In this case it is still attractive to connect to ZakitoDC, but the savings will be lower.

Through an early collaboration between the ADC and our engineering partner Deerns, an optimal system will be designed that best meets the wishes and requirements of the customer and the conditions that must be met for the district cooling system. Among other things, this results in lower costs for the customer and a more optimal use of the district cooling system. ”
