Judith Marlene Lake
Better known as “Judy”
November 29, 1956 – August 7, 2026
Daughter of : Thomassillienne “Masso” Hermance Arnell and José Husurell Lake.

Joseph H. Lake, Jr. and family (St. Martin),
Nkosazana and Daphne Illis, Carmen Bowers-Lake,

Juanita Lake-Shanks and Jomo Lake, Katrina Lake,
David Wilson, Yolanda Carter, Priscilla Gumbs,
Randy Hawley and their families.
Her aunt: Laura “Wendy” Arnell and family (Aruba)
Her uncle: Harold “Sonny” Arnell and family (USA)
Nieces, nephews and cousins, including the children of Louisa Reed:
Linda, Roselyn, Perry, and their brothers and sisters; along
with family and friends in St. Martin, the USA, Curaçao, Aruba,
Anguilla, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
At the time of her passing, Judy resided at Kas Kayena and, before that, at Huize Jos Wouter, both of the SGR-Groep Foundation, where she received compassionate care from the personnel, supervisory staff, and unit leaders over the years, including Migsela Blanco, Elisabeth Margaritha and La Tresha Hassell.
Many thanks to the management and staff of the SGR-Groep Foundation for the many years of dignified care of Judy Lake. Many thanks to all those who provided Judy with meaningful work opportunities and support over the years.
Many thanks also go to the nurses and hospital staff who cared for Judy during her stay at the Curaçao Medical Center.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, love for her family, helpfulness, curiosity, care for her friends, and her fellow residents and personnel at Kas Kayena.
She was related to the families: Arnell, Lake, Sample, Louisa Reed, Richardson, Duruo, Duzant, Richards, Gumbs, and Arrindell.

The Funeral Service for Judy will take place at El Tributo Otrobanda Sala 1, on Friday, August 14, 2026. Condolences time will be from 9 am till 10:15 am. followed by a service.
Flowers and wreaths are respectfully declined. The family kindly asks that there be no visits to the home after the funeral.
