WILLEMSTAD.- Mrs. Leila Matroos-Lasten director of the Central Bank of Curacao and St.Maarten refuses to go on compulsory vacation, as instructed by the Supervisory Board of the bank in a letter to her.  Meanwhile Mrs. Matroos-Lasten have already answered the Supervisory Board in a letter that she won’t meet their request. Information gathered indicates that the reason for requesting Mrs. Matroos-Lasten to go on vacations is based on the ongoing investigation in the bank on the leak of documents.

If she would to accept now to go on mandatory vacation would give the impression that she is accepting a punishment for something that is yet to be determined by the ongoing investigation. Considering that Mrs. Matroos-Lasten is indicating that she is not willing to accept an compulsory vacation as instructed by the Supervisor Board of the Central Bank.
