Willemstad (February 13,2019) – The award ceremony of the Stars of the Industry 4th quarter of 2018 was held at CHATA member Mood Beach. During this event, the 4th quarter employees and supervisors nominated by a variety of CHATA members were recognized and celebrated. All the nominees received a gift provided by the Dive Task Force, CurAloe and Senior & Co Landhuis Chobolobo.
Each quarter CHATA focuses on a different personal quality a person has that brings out the best in them while working in the hospitality/tourism industry. This quarter we focus on how a smile can have a positive impact on others.
According to President & CEO, Mr. Miles Mercera, “A smile is something very important in our industry. It means positivism and can lighten up someone else’s day without the need of interaction. In life and in the hospitality sector things will not always go our way. However, smiling improves your mood and therefore the attitude in which you face everyday situations. A smile is contagious, and humans tend to copy emotions, so a good attitude on your part can improve your guests’ attitude as well.”
