WILLEMSTAD.- On April 20, 1942 between 15 and 20 Chinese workers lost their lives in Curaçao. They were doing dangerous work among others, on oil tankers. The Eerherstel Oorlogsslachtoffers Foundation has been struggling for years to recognize their dead as victims of war. This April 20th of the current year, an official national recognition will be celebrated for the third time and it will be 77 years commemorating this date. Wim van Lamoen and Nizaar Makdoembaks gave a presentation of the places where they will continue walking to obtain the recognition of the dead of these Chinese people as victims of war.
