On April 15 2019 the yearly Dutch Beauty Awards took place at the Compagnie Theater in Amsterdam. The Curacao made Curaloe Body Gel was one of the nominees and won the 2nd price in the Category Sun. The jury of this event are selected out of beauty experts, beauty journalists, bloggers and influencers.

Olcay Gulsen presented the Award event and started directly with the category sun, with nominees of big brands that are already active many years in the Dutch market, Curaloe was a new kid on the block.
The entire audience was surprised that an unknown brand like Curaloe was nominated top 3 out of 8 and competing in this last selection with big brands as Maláda and Marc Ibane.

After the drumrolls, Olcay surprised everybody with a second place for the Curaloe Body Gel 95% Aloe Vera, right after Maláda Sunscreen SPF 30. So in fact the Curaloe Body Gel is No. 2 in his category, but selected as the No. 1 moisturizing aftersun gel!

The jury was extremely positive about the product and came up with the following conclusion:
“A fresh basic, easy to use with pure active ingredients. We’re also impressed about the story behind the brand and the lovely Aloe Vera. A well deserved second price for the Curaloe Body Gel 95% Aloe Vera.”

To maintain the exclusivity of the awards, the jury judges their winners on the 7 following aspects:

  1. Was it introduced in the Netherlands in 2018?
  2. Is the product an innovation?
  3. Is the product what it aims to be?
  4. Does the consumer understands the core of the product and how to use?
  5. Is the packaging easy to use?
  6. What does the product looks like?
  7. What is the price/quality ratio?

The Dutch Beauty Awards is the only Cosmetic products awards in the Netherlands, therefor it’s an honor to win a 2nd price in this competition.
