WILLEMSTAD.- Irresponsible people who circulate news that is not confirmed or that is not correct, do not know the negative effects that this can bring.

At the beginning of this weekend, an information came out that apparently the President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro called all the fruit ships to return to Venezuela.

Even a video came out on social media, in which you could see the movement of boats in our bay.

The information is completely wrong and is simply a “fake news”, according to the Head of the Department of Economic Inspection MEO, mr. Ronny Cornelis.

Cornelis said that it was a bad weekend for the floating market at Sha Capriles Kade because they did not receive any call or order to return to Venezuela.

All 8 ships: Puli, Fredy Mar, Flory, Daximar, Doña Tita, Mano Gigo, Isabella and ReinaJulliani are at Sha Capriles Kade as is customary daily.

Cornelis indicated that this type of “Fake News” apart from bringing many problems affects our economy, without this being necessary.
