AMSTERDAM.- Last Saturday night around 11:20 Dutch hours, people walking near the dike of Zuider IJdijk in Amsterdam observed the mortal remains of a human body well packaged in a suitcase. Police and detectives who came to the site immediately began to investigate for more information. They started their search nearby trying to find human bones or other details that would help solve the investigation.

The forensic team, which also appeared on the site, after conducting some investigations reported that it was a human body of a woman whose age was estimated between 20 and 50 years of age. It is a light-colored lady who wore a black skirt and a black blouse too.

Nothing particular was observed in his body, such as tattoos or scars. The authorities saw in the registry of lost people, but until now there is no clarification on the identity of the lady or the exact day of his death.

It seems that on January 11th this suitcase was placed in the dike, according to the calculations of the police. But it is very important for the investigation to specify the exact day that the suitcase was thrown and if there are people in the neighborhood who could see something related to this. It is a suitcase of the brand “Samsonite” with a format of 76 cm high with 46 cm wide and 30 cm thick.

“Zuider IJdijk”, is on the island of Zeeburger, west part of the center of Amsterdam, right on the Ring A10, near the beginning of the Rijn Amsterdam canal. According to information more or less 10 years ago, exactly on February 24th, 2009, in the waters connected to Diemen’s Dijk, the mortal remains of a person were also found in a blue suitcase, in which the human parts were packaged in a plastic bag.

The head of the body was wrapped in an Ikea towel while the other parts were found in a well-packed Albert Heijn bag.
