WILLEMSTAD.- Yesterday evening, the multidisciplinary team consisting of the police, MEO, BAB, Immigration, Fire department and even SVB, took to the streets for a major control.
The first control took place in Groot Kwatier. There, at one of the checkpoints, the police ran into a lot of resistance and instigation. Those present began to discuss with the police to better go to find drugs and at one point there were even bottles thrown. A person at one of those checkpoints, started with the instigation and others also rebelled against the officials by throwing bottles.
During this melee the authorities kept themselves calm, until bottles were thrown at that moment the restored order quickly. One person was arrested. Later the multidisciplinary team went to Barbouquet, Montaña and there they detained more than 20 women and men who were not in possession of their respective legal documents, required for their stay on our island.
