WILLEMSTAD.- Since last weekend, the marine ship Zr.Ms. Groningen has a new Commander. Captain-Luitenant ter Zee Sinke replaced Van der Kraan in the Command.
As is tradition, the transfer occurs from the hands of the youngest sailor.
Since April 20, the ship is active in the Caribbean and is ready for operations that will combat drug trafficking and humanitarian aid. Apart from these tasks, the ship will also help the coastguards with different tasks such as controlling the traffic of illegal fishing and in addition to search cases.
