WILLEMSTAD.- According to ABVO President Adrie Williams, today public employees will again be at the ABVO headquarters in Brievengat. This is the conclusion reached by the members of the unions that are represented in CGOA together with the Minister Armin Konket of Government, Planning and Public Service and also together with the Minister of Finance Kenneth Gijsbertha, “We have let the ministers speak openly with public officials, but public employees do not want to wait any longer, they want to pay their money right now, and ministers have indicated that, for now, this is not possible. ” As a result of this, the actions of public officials will continue for today. All this has to do with a circular that Konket sent last week. In this circular, Konket asks public officials and employees to grant the Government a necessary space, to review its budget before making a decision on the payment of the indexation and compliance with the single and global 3% settlement. After Konket revoked this form.

But many public employees do not want to wait longer for their money. They decided yesterday during the meeting, that they want to pay their money right now. Konket asked to wait until February 28. That day, the Commission that investigates the budget will be clear with its investigations. Until then, the government does not know if it has enough space to pay for the indexation and the 3% single and global arrangement. The officials decided not to wait any longer. Williams: “If the Government had not sent this circular, we would not have this action right now.”
