Curaçao – Baoase Luxury Resort is pleased to announce that Mr. Thijs van der Valk, the son of Adrianus van der Valk, will follow in his brother-in-law’s and sister’s footsteps by taking over the position of General Manager of Baoase Exploitation Company, including the Directorship of the Flamingo Exploitatie Maatschappij, effective January 25th, 2021.
“After 7 years of successfully managing Baoase with commitment, passion and enthusiasm; we are very pleased to hand over the reins of the family business to Thijs van der Valk. Together with the Management team and staff, he will continue to build on the strong foundation Baoase already has”, said Oliver Zahn.
Throughout the years, Mr. Thijs Van der Valk has been working for numerous family-owned hospitality companies. He supported the Baoase Team as Assistant General Manager on various occasions prior to his appointment to General Manager. In addition to his professional experience, he completed the studies of International Hotel & Hospitality Management at the EuroCollege Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in 2012.
