WILLEMSTAD.- The opening of Carnival 2019 in its youth section, took place yesterday night with a 'jump up' leaving from Rooseveltweg, starting at the Samira Shopping Center and ended in the parking lot of Sambil.

Although the call for the carnival youth groups to participate, did not get ears or full call, the atmosphere with the participation of carnival ambassadors, participants of different elections and the public at the edge of the streets sought to convey the concept of youth openness desired and that it took its first steps.

Upon arrival at Sambil, the jump up was received by a substantial audience, who together with those who were already participating, tried to join and enlarge the group with a number of people for this great event.

There were words among others of AGKK, FKBB, JAG, Minister of Culture, mrs. Alcalá-Wallé, who were part of the official representatives. Pastor Curtis Meris performed the invocation of the Almighty for this opening, the Juvenile ‘Tumba King, Gian Van Eiker and the ‘Tumba’ King Luwi Jano presented their ‘tumba’ followed by the environment created by the Wega Orchestra.
