WILLEMSTAD.- Yesterday evening, the Prime Minister Mr. Eugene Rhuggenaath answered the parliamentarians some questions they asked him explaining that Curaçao did not choose a side with regard to the situation in Venezuela, but that Curacao did choose for democratic principles and human rights.
The Prime Minister answered the questions of whether the information was true that Venezuela closed the border and the minister explained, that according to him he could know until that moment, the border with the Falcon state was closed and if so, it is to prevent that humanitarian aid reaches the Venezuelan people this week.
For clarification, the Prime Minister explained that Curaçao is not the country that bought the products to send to Venezuela, but Curaçao is only providing a service and is charging for this as well. In that same air, the minister announced that Curaçao has no problems with the Venezuelan people and that Curaçao is a country of peace and that must be maintained and remain.
One of the questions was that, if Russia made a request to Curaçao, if Curaçao would be willing to cooperate. The priority is help and not where it comes from. Curaçao will serve as a center / storage / storage channel for food and water and this is based on the fact that Curaçao has all the facilities, experience and superior capabilities compared to the other islands.
