It is with great sadness that the family of the
Consul (H) of Portugal in Curaçao
Dr. Jose Carlos De Sousa Correia
communicates his sudden passing on
July 18th 2018 at the age of 78.
He arrived to the island 14 years ago and embraced it as his homeland touching the lives of everyone who knew him.
He served the Portuguese community with great honor and pride.
Tito Avo will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria Matos de De Sousa, his children, Juan Carlos De Sousa Lovera (Marisol Santana de De Sousa), Angela De Sousa Lovera (Marcelo Rosen), Maria Gabriela De Sousa Lovera (David Matuskey).
His grandchildren Isabella, Ivanna, Marcela De Sousa Santana, Michael, Michelle Rosen, Matthew Rosen De Sousa and Maxwell, Ethan Matuskey De Sousa. His brother Adriano De Sousa Correia and his children.
His father in law Manuel Matos Almeida (Ita Ribeiro) and his brothers in law. His dear nieces and newphews. United with his beloved extended family Rosa Elena Lovera de Pacanins (Tomas Pacaninse Bruzual), Beatriz Pacanins Bruzual, Carlos Alfonso, Tomas, Marianella y Rosa Elena Pacanins, Jose Enrique, Carlos Eduardo y Daniela Lopez.
Services will be held at the aula of Crefona on Saturday July 21st from 9 to11:00am followed by a service.
