WILLEMSTAD - Soon FEFFIK will go down in history. This is what was decided in a national dialogue, but on the other side, a new facility for teaching in this sector will be opened. It was also decided that some teaching materials would remain in the FEFFIK Building in Brievengat.

On July 5, the National Dialogue Platform "Korsou ta Avansa" had a special meeting in which the partners discussed the FEFFIK issue.

The Platform is a tripartite group consisting of the Trade Union Sector, Business Sector and Government in which the parties discuss and dialogue to reach a consensus on different points of view and general management with the Government, holding consultations with the other two parties to give execution to the process.

In the meeting of July 5, the case related to the FEFFIK entity was analyzed and the partners reached different shared conclusions. The legal entity FEFFIK in a relatively short time will be dissolved.

The SOAW Minister will present in consultation with the partners of the platform a proposal to create a new Institute.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport gave a presentation of the trajectory that will be followed aimed at offering quality secondary education that is fair, taking into account the needs of each student. In this framework, a lasting approach was chosen according to the requirements of the law. A ministerial decree is already being worked out so that the next school year will offer a study at the SBO level in the Nautical, Refrigeration and Automotive Technology in the building, Colin Valerian, which is the FEFFIK building itself in Brievengat.

This will be kept under the supervision and examination of the Teaching Inspectorate and will be completed according to the requirements of the PB 2014 Law.

From the point of view, the formation in this area is a need for students who are not in regular education, to be offered a preparation with certification in different subjects for the upcoming school year of 2018-2019.

Along with the Technical Instruction students will get guidance and conferences at the Center for Educational Innovation (SIGE) in different areas.

SIGE has the assignment for the registration process and "revision" of the students to be able to determine the study and the school that fits their need.
