WILLEMSTAD - The Prime Minister's Office informed the media yesterday afternoon, that the Government of Curaçao accepted the resignation of the Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Steven Martina. The reason that the Minister Steven Martina resigned is due to the fact that the Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation into a procedure invoked to reach a decision regarding the legal liability of the insurance, better known as "WA Insurance." All the members of the Rhuggenaath Cabinet expressed their understanding for his decision and shared the same thought of Minister Martina, who decided to give space for the investigation. This as a sign of transparency and integrity on his part.
