Athens, Greece
Greece will ban access to social media for children under 15 from January 1, 2027 Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Wednesday.
"We have decided to go ahead with a difficult but necessary measure: ban access to social media for children under 15 years old," he said in a video posted on TikTok.
"Greece is among the first countries in the world to adopt such a measure," the prime minister said, adding that he would put pressure on the European Union to follow suit.
Mitsotakis said he used social media to make the announcement so he could address teenagers and children directly: "I know that some of your are going to be angry.... Our aim is not to keep you away from technology but to combat addiction to certain applications that harms your innocence and your freedom."
"Science is clear: when a child is in front of screens for hours, their brain does not rest," he said.
Australia in December became the first country in the world to require TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and other top sites to remove accounts held by under-16s, or face heavy fines.
Indonesia began enforcing a social media ban for users under the age of 16 in March, and has already issued summons letters to Google and Meta over their failure to comply with the law.
Austria announced last month it would soon ban social media for children up to the age of 14, with a plan to present a new law "as early as this summer".
Spain and Denmark have also announced their intention to introduce a digital age of majority for social networks.

Good evening! I was stuck on a boring phone call and needed a distraction. A notification popped up offering a massive global reload bonus. Old low RTP slots always waste my bankroll so I quickly visited spin maya to risk a max bet premium bonus buy. It triggered cascading reels and sticky wilds for a huge instant payout. The international withdrawal process was incredibly smooth

Well, this topic is interesting because a lot of adults are trying to figure out where guidance ends and restriction begins. I can understand why governments worry about younger kids spending so much time online, especially when attention, confidence, and sleep are still developing. At the same time, rules only work well when families, schools, and platforms all share some responsibility. In my experience, children adapt fast to technology, but emotional maturity takes longer. That gap is where problems often begin. Even practical searches, like pinterest customer service phone number https://pinterest.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html , show how deeply digital life is woven into everyday routines now. Finding a healthy balance feels more important than ever today.

I started tracking historical results before placing my bets in crazy time, and it genuinely changed how I approach each session. Using a tracker tool to spot frequency patterns on the #5 and #10 segments helped me time my stakes more confidently. Of course, every spin is independent, but having that data in front of me gives me a sharper edge and makes the whole wagering experience far more engaging.
