In their verbal fight / discussions Russia and the United States must leave Curaçao out

Komparti:

WILLEMSTAD.- “We have seen the discussions between Russia and the United States about our neighboring country Venezuela. They have to leave Curaçao out.”

With this Prime Minister Rhuggenaath reacted to the statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman. According to Russia, the Kingdom gave the United States permission to use Curaçao as a front for military operations in Venezuela, within an agreement that was signed with the USA. "None of this is true, our purpose is clearly to serve as a logistical collection center for the humanitarian aid required by the Venezuelan people, and we have made it a condition that no military operation, no military personnel can be involved in this. Humanitarian aid has to go by the time we know that it will arrive in Venezuela safely, safe and with the guarantees that it will be received directly by the people. While these conditions are not met, we will not allow aid to go to Venezuela.

Rhuggenaath explained that in the agreement that was signed with the United States, it was clearly established that Curaçao could serve as a collection center for humanitarian aid. There was civil equipment that should be used. Rhuggenaath pointed out that the agreement with the USA has a lasting duration of one year. If in case the future situation changes and if the USA wishes to use other types of strategies, it must have the approval of Curaçao and the Prime Minister. It's not just Holland that can approve this. "

Rhuggenaath explained that Curaçao wants to give humanitarian support. "We are a country of peace and we want the good of our neighbors. Rhuggenaath said that now, Curaçao is located in the international light. "We must take advantage of this and remain consistent based on our principles, and also demonstrate to the international community, how well we can function as a logistical collection center."
