WILLEMSTAD.– the people of Bandabou still wonder if Bandabou really is part of the Curaçao, since a country that is part of the Kingdom cannot be treated as a 3 category citizens.

Yesterday during the celebration of the Flag Day, the people of Bandabou together with VIBA expressed their discomfort and wanted to translate it into a letter and deliver it to the Royal Couple.

But this was not achieved. This proved once again that Bandabou is a town that has to beg eventhough they have the same rights as others.

The people of Bandabou also pay taxes and even more than others but this is not recognized. Bandabou does not have a sports complex for youngsters or a library.

For the president of the VIBA Foundation, Selfrin Sambo, the people of Bandabou have to go out to demonstrate so that the government starts doing something for them. Everything that the Government begins is ends at the half way.

Another point is the lack of police guarding Bandabou so that its people can feel protected.

In a letter to the King that could not be delivered, VIBA expressed his discontent and asked to end this injustice in Bandabou.
