WILLEMSTAD.- The retirees who receive the AOV pension will receive their end-of-year bonus in a normal manner. This according to sources close to the Minister of Finance, Kenneth Gijsbertha. Given the struggling financial situation that the Government is facing and the decision taken by the Government not to pay for any end of the year celebrations was a real concern among the retirees, regarding their end of year bonus. EXTRA understood that the payment of the bonus will take place in a normal way for the retirees. Likewise, the Government has not yet offered clarity regarding the payment of the bonus for public employees. Within this framework, the ABVO union, according to EXTRA, understood that it would be preparing a letter to be sent to the Minister of Finance. The union wants a clarification from the minister if the bonus to public employees is going to be paid or how much will be paid as a bonus and the date on which this will be paid.
