Selikor Otrobanda workers have "overtime" hours pending for payment

Komparti:

WILLEMSTAD.- A group of Selikor employees who work in the Otrobanda area, decided to stop their work for a while yesterday, due to the company having delay in the payment of their money for "overtime" work. But with a little advance they came to a partial solution of the problem.

Selikor has a debt to pay to the employees who clean the streets of Otrobanda, corresponding to their "overtime". Many of them have not been able to receive their payments since January and some are owed payment since the Easter of 2018 and are still waiting to be complied with.

The workers gave notice to their respective unions, and their representatives to resolve this with the Management. After a meeting with the Management, a solution was achieved. Management acknowledged that there was a failure in the provision of information and the corresponding data. But they agreed with the BTG Union that they would pay the workers a small advance pending what they should receive and obtain correctly.

In statements to the press, the Management explained that it gave a small advance and must process the salary data of this month as well. But to avoid that things get confused, each one will be dealt with separately. An individual calculation of what must be paid in "overtime" for each of the workers will be prepared. But it can be said that the situation normalized.
