Better known as Val

Valerie was born in Hamilton, Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and was the devoted wife of the late Arthur Smith. She leaves behind her loving son Sherwin Smith and his family in Bequia; her sisters Luvina Doreen Quashie, Sharon in Bequia, Shirley in the USA, and Liena & family. She is also mourned by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives in Bequia.

In Curaçao, she is remembered by her cherished caretaker Marcia Sint Jago and family, dear friend Jacqline Lashley and her family, neighbors, friends, cousin Mari & family, and all the brethren of the Cher Asile Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Family and friends can pay their respects from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Cher Asile. The service will be followed by the burial at Morada Santa Cemetery in Bottelier.
