WILLEMSTAD.-Whether we say it at the beginning or at the end, it’s the same: Giuseppe Bonafastia was an exemplary colleague! Yesterday the EXTRA family received the sad news that Giuseppe left us in a sudden way. During his 15 years in Extra service, Giuseppe exercised his meritorious work first in the local general news, then as a showman and in the last phase of his career, serving as sports editor. There are no words to express this painful loss, since working for more than 15 years with a person, goes from being more than a colleague to becoming a family. And in EXTRA, this concept fits perfectly into our definition. All of us who got to know Guiseppe (57) in his private life, in his neighborhood of Mundo Nobo, on the sports ground as a goalkeeper and as a participant in different singing festivals will agree that he was a calm person, always cheerful, social and positive. A person who had a lot of appreciation for his children and a lot of love for his mother. In any conversation he loved to finish with the remark: “My mom dushi”. We will miss him without a doubt and the way each one of us called him in Extra, Giuseppe, Guis, Guissy, Giuseppo, Gestapo, it was a pleasure to have you as a colleague!
