WILLEMSTAD.- On Saturday in the early hours of the morning, the Coast Guard Rescue and Coordination Center received information that signaled a boat in a suspicious manner in the southwest part of Curaçao. Immediately the Coast Guard was sent to the area, while the police and Customs were made aware of this.

It began with a search in the bush, where they managed to stop a number of 12 undocumented people, all Venezuelans. They also found a firearm that possibly belonged to one of these people.

During the search for undocumented people, the police found a large marijuana plantation in the back of a house. On the plantation, the police confiscated, if anything, at least 1000 bushes of marijuana.

After the investigation everything was removed from the site and even the firearm, which was similarly confiscated. The undocumented persons were transported by the police where they were handed over to the immigration department, which initiated the process of deportation of the detainees.
