WILLEMSTAD.- Yesterday a Holy Sacrifice of Mass was celebrated, where Bishop Luis Secco blessed the children who, on January 23, will go to Panama, where they will meet with Pope Francis.
This is an encounter that is organized every three years.
This activity in which young people meeting the pope, began with Pope John Paul II.
It is a world meeting of kids and in this case, Pope Francis invites all kids around the world to make an appearance and meet him in person.
During this meeting, the kids receive formation, catechesis, Bible instruction and participate in different youth activities, spiritual and vocation activities, and obviously there will also be days when the kids will meet with Pope Francis.
This meeting was held in different places in the past, in which kids from Curaçao also participated.
Among others, it was held in Rome, Spain, Germany, Toronto, Poland, Brazil and now the headquarters will be Panama.
This year 138 participants will be divided among the countries of the Caribbean Dutch Kingdom.
Bishop Luis Secco along with Pastor Curtis Merris will also attend.
