WILLEMSTAD.- ‘Amigu di Tera’ indicated that since 2016 they proposed an alternative route for the Rif area (between PaterEuwensweg) and Megapier/Tula Statue. This proposal takes into account that the Pal’i Mangel area can be transformed into a park so that the community and tourists can enjoy it.
However, according to ‘Amigu di Tera’, the government prefers to fulfill the desire of CPA, an organization that does not give importance to nature. The proof is that twice they destroyed unique corals in the place where the new megapier was placed. Now they continue their course in the destruction of the area of pal’i mangel (mangrove), according to the environmental organization.
Outside the destructive route, ‘Amigu di Tera’ (Friends of Earth) said they brought other proposals to the table.
