WILLEMSTAD.- “The Central Bank of Curaçao and San Martín does not admit the accusations in any form, which have appeared neither in the news nor in the accusations and that have recently come out in social media.” The Central Bank denies that they have blackmailed the person some, or even less, have threatened any person or institute.

This, spokesmen of the Central Bank of Curaçao and San Martin indicated in a press release that they sent related to the situation of Neysa Schoop-Isenia. As is known, Neysa Schoop-Isenia recently thanked the position of Minister of Economic Development. She stated in a voice message that the Central Bank Attorney in a conversation with his lawyer used the blackmail to force her to thank for the position.

In the statements of the Central Bank are mentioned, that for a long time there were negative news about the Central Bank of Curaçao and San Martin (CBCS), in local media. CBCS from the beginning started from the point of view, that they do not react in the media about any of these news, but they are waiting for the moment so that the investigations that are being carried out are completely ready. But now the Bank sets an opinion claiming the following: “the news that continues to appear is incorrect and harmful” and pressures CBCS to react to them. This is in the interest of the “Reliability and Integrity of the Central Bank as an Institute”. The Central Bank takes distance from “incorrect and unilateral” news. CBCS also said: “The Bank has never used words that are recorded in that voice message.”
