WILLEMSTAD.- Tomorrow InselAir workers hope to obtain more clarity about the return of new wave of dismissals at the aviation company. As it is known, around 70 to 75 additional people will be dismissed from the company.

Approximately half of the number of workers who decided to retire, opted for voluntary retirement, and this includes the fact that the Social Security Bank (SVB) will pay their severance payments. The other half will leave later, based on mandatory dismissal. It is precisely for this group that there is a need  for more information.

The restructuring plan of more dismissals in the company is part of an agreement. In this way, it should be easier to find a strategic partner for InselAir.

Meanwhile it is known, that one of the possible strategic partners with whom the airline was talking, namely; One Laser Group retracted and is no longer interested in an alliance with InselAir.

Only the InterCaribbean Airlines from the Turks & Caicos Islands is still at the negotiating table. According to agreements that were made by the end of October, InselAir must show that it is in a position to comply with all its current debts and to commit itself to not generating new debts.

Additionally, the UGTK / CADMU union assumes that by the end of October, there will be more clarity about the future strategic partner for InselAir.
