WILLEMSTAD.- The Curaçao foundation in charge of the financing of Studies (SSC) is receiving several questions and requests related to the financing of the studies. To clarify the financing, SSC gives the following information. SSC grants financing of studies to study in: Curaçao, Holland and also within the Region.

 Studies in Holland:

The student who goes to the Netherlands applies to obtain financing for studies to cover his ticket, expenses to settle in Holland and to furnish his house and also maintenance expenses corresponding to the months of July and August. In the month of September, the student receives study funding from the Dutch funds via the Department of Education (DUO). Normally students go to Holland at the end of July. SSC reserves its budget, an annual amount of Ang. 2,900,000 for students studying in the Netherlands. There are currently 1,111 students studying in the Netherlands with SSC funding.

 Studies in Curacao:

SSC continues to provide study funding for students in Curaçao, the Netherlands and in the Region and calls on all those who still have debts in SSC, to cancel their delinquent debts and thus avoid the inconvenience of dealing with a bailiff, which it only brings more expenses to these debtors, something that is finally unnecessary.
