WILLEMSTAD. – This Monday marks the beginning of the second series of public interrogations by the HNO Investigation Commission. From Monday, March 11th, to Friday, March 15th, 2024, the decisions of witnesses carrying political responsibility will be questioned. Other individuals involved in the construction of the new hospital in Otrobanda will also be interrogated.

The schedule for public interrogations on Monday, March 11th, 2024, is as follows: 10:00 am Charles Cooper; 01:30 pm Gilmar Pisas; 03:30 pm Eugene Rhuggenaath (virtual); 05:00 pm Kenneth Gijsbertha.

The commission’s investigation focuses on five topics. Questions are posed regarding:

Decisions made regarding the hospital’s location;

Financial responsibility;

Transition from the old to the new hospital;

Construction and security aspects;

Governmental responsibility.

The list of people who must testify and the schedule are published one day in advance on the website http://kehno.parlamento.cw. The legal framework within which the commission operates is based on two important documents. One is the parliament’s decision to conduct an investigation, and the other is the investigation agreement that sets out all the rules for the investigation.
