WILLEMSTAD.- The oil that was aboard the ship Icaro, will now be sold in auction on coming  May 9th. The sale will take place through bailiff Ramazán, who is the custodian of the oil on our island. But the sale will be made at the Ox & Wolf Lawyers office. The crude is stored in one of Bullenbaai’s tanks. In this case, it is about 200,000 barrels of crude from Santa Barbara Crude Oil and 3,420 barrels from Aunt Juana Crude Oil.

He who acquires the crude must come with his own tanker to pump the crude and fill it, and in this way he can take it away. This crude belongs to the fourth company that is Exotic Waves Marine S.A. from Monrovia, Liberia, Ammon Shipping located in Rotterdam, Holland, Clion Limited located in Middelsex Engeland, and ULM Blandford Limited which is also located in Middelsex, Engeland. This fourth company executed an embargo on this crude, which the ship Ícaro was transporting from Venezuela / PDVSA to Curaçao in December 2018. The judge, by means of a ruling in December 2018, managed to release part of the crude oil that had to go to the Isla Refinery. The rest of the crude remained inside the ship Ícaro. The crude was left as a reserve at the COT tank in Bullenbaai. Despite the fact that they have removed the crude from the ship Icaro, other companies placed an embargo on the same ship, docked at COT.

In the month of March, through a summary trial that Isla Refinery began against the Venezuelan Maritime Corporation Corporation in Panama, the embargo was lifted, which means that Icaro may eventually abandon Curaçao. But the crude remains and now the company decided that it will sell this crude at auction. The value of this crude was at $ 11,900.00.
