WILLEMSTAD – Yesterday in the afternoon the decision wad made in the Council of Ministers, to postpone the decision to close Feffik. For now, the decision to close said school is postponed pending a national dialogue that will take place soon.

Yesterday morning the Central Union and SSK also met with Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath, Minister Marilyn Alcalá-Wallé and Armin Konket. The meeting ended approximately 2 hours later. The goal of this meeting was to explore the possibilities.

To generate peace of mind within FEFFIK. This meeting took place in a good atmosphere in which those gathered at the table agreed that both parties should walk together to crystallize the decision that the Council of Ministers took on May 9.

Both parties also agreed that the platform ‘National Dialogue’ is the most appropriate in which partners and interested parties can take note of all available information. Based on this information an agreement was reached on the most responsible way to achieve the execution of the decision taken on May 9, 2018

The Council of Ministers in an extraordinary session yesterday Friday afternoon, recognized the fact that they did not have an adequate consultation between the Government and all interested parties in the framework of seeking solutions about the challenge represented by FEFFIK and within the framework of provide better possibilities.
