WILLEMSTAD.- Yesterday there was a demonstration in support of humanitarian aid from Curaçao to Venezuela. It was a demonstration organized by local citizens, but in Brionplein, more Venezuelan citizens could be seen. The demonstration was to thank Curaçao for wanting to serve as a hub and intermediary to bring humanitarian aid to Venezuela, from the United States. Apart from the presence of our Monsignor Luis Secco, the Venezuelan television artist Maite Delgado was also present.

The Catholic Pastor announced that for all the mistakes and problems that are being committed in Venezuela and the lack of food, the prostitution index went much higher and exceeds national levels. Many mothers have resorted to the trade of prostitution to have something to take home. The Monsignor does not justify it, but says that you have to call things by their name. “Due to the situation in Venezuela, many people eat from garbage bags, nobody has told me, I have seen it with my own eyes when I was in Caracas, Valencia and Maracaibo. They have to work as beggars to bring bread to their homes, I have seen fathers and mothers who are left without food to give their children to eat. The most important thing about this is that God (and he speaks as a shepherd who appreciates to the people of Curaçao but it has a well-defined national identity), it is good and we must give way and leave behind everything that destroyed us as a nation, now Venezuelans must show what they have in their brave hearts and the decision that Venezuela It is a country of possibilities, a country of beauty, a country of happiness, people that has given its education, a feeling of patriotic celebration, the Pastor said that they stole their national identity and this must be defended. ”

The Parliamentary Ana María Pauleta of the PAR party, together with the President of the PAR Party, dr. Rach and parliamentarian Giset Seferina were also present. Pauletta and his colleagues said that they will support humanitarian aid. The whole PAR party supports this fight. They do not do it only for the PAR party, but for the generations that come to the future. “When the history book is opened and the next generation comes, I (Pauleta) want to be part of the generation that did well.” We in Curaçao are human with a good heart, we extend our hand to help our neighboring country, the same that this country helped us, it’s a small group that tries to rummage through the earth, this is a humanitarian aid, we should not think about going to any war, the humanitarian bridge will be achieved only if we unite to do it together.”

Another cry that Pauleta launched and found support is that as long as humanitarian aid does not enter Venezuela, she will ask the Prime Minister not to deport or return any Venezuelan.

The well-known Venezuelan artist, Maite Delgado, who took the stage and pronounced in Papiamento, good night to all the attendees, said: “Mi ta masha kontentu di ta aki nan”. She is very happy that the community of Curaçao supports humanitarian aid. She said that nobody invited her, that she herself came voluntarily to be present today to this manifestation. She said that Venezuelans are great, good people, as is Curaçao. We are brothers forever, since the time of Brión, Delgado shouted yesterday in Briónplein.
