A conference of Smart Nation Curaçao
WILLEMSTAD.- On 15 December 2022 the conference Smart Nation Curaçao – Data Days 2022 will be held at the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort. This conference carries the theme “Digital Strategies for a Secure Data Driven Society”, which will focus especially on the impact of digital technology on the government, society and businesses, the importance of having strategies that ensure the digital readiness of Curaçao and how to prepare for transition.
This conference is made possible by the Smart Nation Curaçao Platform under coordination of Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post as its Secretariat and in close collaboration with various pioneering stakeholder organizations and initiatives in the field of technology and data, such as: Ernst & Young, Curaçao Data Driven, CINEX, Curaçao Tech Meetups and the government of Curaçao. Digital Transformation is for today, not tomorrow. The conference theme “Digital Strategies for a Secure Data Driven Society” is consistent with global current events regarding digital transformation, cast into a perspective for Curaçao. Although the Covid-19 pandemic has helped the acceleration of basic digitalization and adoption of internet services in several organizations, there is still a significant gap that must be bridged between our digital status quo and entering the era of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. This will eventually have far-reaching consequences for how society works and lives.
