WILLEMSTAD.-  Yesterday, a police checkpoint was setup on F.D. Rooseveltweg, route to the airport, resulting in several citations being issued. The checkpoint was established to enforce traffic laws. During the operation, police officers inspected 18 vehicles, and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, leading to the suspension of their license. Additionally, six citations were issued for various offenses, including driving without a license, invalid specification of vehicle inspection, expired or no insurance, expired tax vehicle, and a damaged windshield.

 

These checkpoint will continue to be conducted to ensure road safety.
