WILLEMSTAD.- Last week a very sad and serious case was perpetrated here in Curaçao, a case that the Police had to deal with immediately. In the west side of the country, Banda Bou, a Dutch couple was surprised by a group of men who entered their home with the intention of robbing and fleeing with the belongings and valuables.
But once in the house, the men chose to take the lady, tie her hands and rape her in a very cruel way in front of her partner to finally leave the house. He caught up with the authorities, but the damage was done and the victim was totally traumatized. The spokesman of the Police Force of Curaçao, Imro Zwerwer confirmed the case but did not give details since it was a serious and private case.
Immediately a deep investigation was started in the house, in order to verify if it was possible to reach those responsible, while the couple was placed in the hands of the concerned bodies so that they can guide them mainly in the psychological treatment and be able to help the victim to manage what happened with specialized attention.
