WILLEMSTAD.- A “Crowd Riot” style exercise with Units of the Curaçao Police Force (KPC), VKC (Curaçao Volunteer Corps) and Company Platoon-Agitator Brake in West (CIDW rotation 30) took place. This exercise is part of the regular CIDW training and falls under the guidance of the KPC.

From Holland there was a delegation of “Military Police of the Royalty” present to support and guide the training of BVW. The goal of the training was to relate to all means, with the exception of the use of deadly force over the unforeseen or unpredictable behavior of a group or crowds. It is directed to control and limit unwanted behavior. In this way the units face or confront different scenarios, to achieve coordination between the essential and important squads.

“In the past there were times when some challenges were presented in the area of communication, among others due to linguistic barriers, the procedures are now well coordinated with the others.” The lessons learned by previous coaches were very well taken care of, and that you can appreciate it back, in the excellent and orderly course of this exercise “, according to the instructors of the” Military Police of the Royalty “.
