WILLEMSTAD.- It seems that the Prosecutor’s Office is not taking any risk with George Jamaloodin, former Minister of Finance of the Government of Curaçao, so that nothing happens to this suspect. This, according to a source very close to the investigation, which informed EXTRA.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office learned from what happened in the past and will avoid all possible surprises. Last week, specifically Thursday, Jamaloodin had to testify and should have taken place at the usual site in Bonaire. Everything was planned to transport Jamaloodin from the Prison to the Justice office, where the testimony would have taken place.

When everything was arranged in great detail, for one reason or another the transfer of Jamaloodin was canceled and it was preferred to continue with the testimony via “videoconference”.

According to another credible but unofficial source, the Prosecutor’s Office is very cautious with the way of attending wth Jamaloodin so that mistakes are not made.

As is well known, Jamaloodin is the main suspect in the case of the murder of Helmin Wiels as the mastermind, that is, the one who is supposed to have given the orders against payment, so that they would murder Helmin Wiels. Beisdes the charges, there are two more against Jamaloodin, the investigation with the name ‘Passaat’ and also the investigation by the name of ‘Germanium’

After spending 18 months in Venezuela, on September 11, Venezuelan authorities extradited Jamaloodin to Curaçao. A day later he moved to Jamaloodín to Bonaire, to a new prison equipped for incarceration for suspects like Jamaloodin.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office is working hard to conclude these cases against Jamaloodin, while the suspect in reference is convinced that justice will prevail and that he will be free of at least the case of the murder of Helmin Wiels (Maximus).
