WILLEMSTAD.- Today there is an important meeting with the union centrals in Curaçao to form a trade union bloc and protest against the Government’s position regarding humanitarian aid for Venezuela. They are not against humanitarian aid, but against the position that the government has taken to unite with the United States and use Curaçao as a collection center, so that humanitarian aid can reach Venezuela.
According to information that EXTRA obtained, yesterday a union solidarity meeting was held in which they analyzed the Government’s position. The Government can say as much as it wants to, that it does not accept that Curaçao be used as the basis for any military operation, but in reality, its subterfuge is another.
The position of the Government was analyzed and it was also analyzed that this situation endangers the situation of the Isla Refinery and worse, constitutes a threat to the peace of Curaçao. Curaçao is almost next door to the entrance to Venezuela, and what would be a threat is thousands of miles away. To make matters worse, Russia also warned about military operations against Venezuela.
