WILLEMSTAD.- In recent times Curaçao has a new attraction, in Playa Piskado. On this beach there are many turtles that come near the shore to eat fish. This has become a tourist attraction even for the locals, who can even swim in the middle of the turtles. It must also be said that there is a person who saw the opportunity to get some extra money with the presence of the turtles. This person cuts fish and begins to shout with a very loud voice, “the show is going to start”. Throw fish in the water and the turtles start eating.
This person hung a plastic bottle and wrote on it, “tip”. When tourists and locals want to take pictures, and this person notices that he did not get his tip, he starts shouting at the observers, “hello, hello, no pictures!” Then he mutters and talks very rudely to them. We all want to earn extra money, and maybe this person invested in the fish that he cuts and throws into the water so that the turtles eat them, but it is not right that he prevents tourists from enjoying this natural spectacle because he does not get a tip. Finally the turtles are not your property. Nature is free!
