SABA—People traveling to Saba since Thursday, March 17 no longer have to do a COVID-19 test on island on day 2 and day 5. Instead, they have to test only once, on day 4. And, as of March 23, persons traveling from St. Eustatius don’t have to show a negative test result to enter Saba.
For all other destinations besides St. Eustatius, the following applies: Persons 11 years and older traveling to Saba must do a pre-travel test, which can be either a PCR test maximum of 72 hours before arrival or a rapid antigen maximum of 48 hours before arrival. There are no quarantine requirements for non-vaccinated persons.
All persons still need an approved Saba Electronic Health Authorization System EHAS entry form within 24 hours of arrival. A St. Maarten EHAS form is also mandatory when in transit, and upon returning via St. Maarten. Children aged 2-10 take an anterior nasal antigen test on arrival.
Persons who have tested positive within the last 8 weeks for COVID-19, are allowed to enter with proof of having had COVID-19 recently along with a rapid antigen test no older than 48 hours before arrival.
The proof must consist of a positive test result from a lab or a doctor's letter, including the date the person was deemed positive and the type of test. All persons 2 years and older are required to test on day 4 testing after arrival. This test is free of charge.
Effective Wednesday, March 23, 2022, there will be no more test requirements for persons traveling from St. Eustatius to Saba. Travelers must have had no travel history in the last 5 days. All entry requirement updates can be found on: https://www.sabatourism.com/travel-requirements

Since February 2022, Saba has been making significant changes to its COVID-19 measures based on the island’s high vaccination and booster rate and the dominant circulating Omicron strain of COVID-19.
Although the omicron variant is highly transmissible, the hospitalization rate is lower, especially amongst the vaccinated and boostered.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States of America has issued a Level 1 Travel Health Notice for Saba, indicating a low level of COVID-19 on Saba. Saba was at a level 3 which indicated that persons travelling had to take extra precaution. As a result of these level 3 advisory, some travelers avoided travel to certain destinations. The Saba Tourism Bureau called the new level-1 status great news as this will certainly help to attract more visitors to the island.
