Even if success is the only option

Small business owners are constantly challenged

Willemstad – ‘Small business owners are constantly challenged especially with the new generation of employees. In this changing economy we owe it to ourselves, our off springs and our country for our collective survival. Small business owners meet judgment and ridicule’.

This is part of the information that was shared during the year-start-luncheon on January 2, celebrating 30 years of doing business in Curaçao by communication services company Bright Ideas & Services.

Moderator Drs. Ann Groot-Philipps opened the event that took place in the Auditorium of Curaçao Cultural Centre.

‘Employees need to be approached differently if employers want to get the best out of them’.

3 times Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles Maria Liberia-Peters stressed that business owners need to know that although you have set your goal, always keep an eye on changing trends around you. ‘Changing trends that might influence your choice of activity. Don’t be stubborn or hard headed, but be flexible and open to observe and if necessary, adjust’.
