WILLEMSTAD.- Today, October 1, the day of the Curaçao Police Corps is celebrated in Curaçao. This year marks the 69th lustrum of this role and important work that all employees of the Police have in our community.
In this symbolic day, not only the agents will celebrate but also all those who work in administration, central, cleaning, etc. Together they complete a group of about 800 employees of the Corps. Since 1949, time in which the Police Corps of the Netherlands Antilles ruled, this date began to be celebrated and was established as a customary celebration all these days every year on October 1st.
It has already become a tradition that every year a delegation travels to an island in the Caribbean (former Antilles) to celebrate this week that has several activities, both sports and social.
This year it is the turn of Bonaire where the celebration of the week of the Police will take place.
