Ukrainian extradited to the United States

WILLEMSTAD.- Curaçao has extradited M.K. (December 3^rd 1974, in Ukraine) to the United States on May 31^st 2019. M.K. has been transferred by officers from the Organized Crime Division (DGC) at Hato airport in Curaçao to the US Marshalls of the United States. Under the guidance of the Marshalls, he left with an especially flown-in aircraft. On 22^nd May 2018, the Common Court of Justice gave a positive advice on the extradition request from the United States. M.K. appealed in cassation against this positive advice. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal by judgment of 23^rd April 2019. The Governor of Curaçao subsequently declared the extradition admissible on 13^th May 2019.
