WILLEMSTAD. – According to the Dutch parliamentarian Sadet Karabulut of the Socialist Party (SP), the Netherlands must take action against Venezuela. Karabulut asked Foreign Minister Stef Blok to try to seek as soon as possible contact with the Venezuelan authorities and urge them to stop the disproportionate violence against their own youth.

Karabulut took note of an Amnesty International report related to the fight against crime that often takes place in Venezuela. As it is known, crime in neighboring countries is problematic. The Government acts repressive against criminals and against possible crime.

According to an Amnesty International report in the fight against crime, Venezuelan authorities killed innocent youth who lived in less prudent neighborhoods. According to Amnesty International, Venezuela and its government “killed thousands of young and poor men”. Karabulut in a letter to Minister Blok, asks the Dutch Minister not to agree with the conclusions of the Amnesty report that points to Venezuela as a violator of human rights. Karabulut asks Blok to make contact with the Venezuelan authorities and urge them to stop the violation of human rights and demand that the perpetrators be convicted.
