While still several are struggling to get a job
WILLEMSTAD. – While Social Insurance Bank (SVB) is in the process of calculating more than 280 employees, they all came back together. Last Friday, the Horecaf union held a very important general meeting with all the workers of Venetto Hotel, Casino and also Denny’s Restaurant. During the meeting, relevant topics were discussed, among others, taxes and the payment of SVB.
In this meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Finance and also of the Inspection Department gave a presentation and ample explanation. This meeting was a very important one, because the workers must be well prepared and informed by the time the collection process begins. Within a very short time, workers will begin to receive calls one by one and, little by little, to receive their checks.
Meanwhile, most workers are struggling to find another job to support their families. Some have applied to other companies but have not yet received answers.
