Willemstad (September 6th, 2018) – Today, Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) officially launched the third edition of the island’s largest culinary festival, Flavors of Curaçao. With this event CHATA would like to raise funds to continue investing in projects that are beneficial for the tourism sector and community as a whole. This event will be held on the parking lot of Hilton Curaçao on September 29th. Previous editions of Flavors of Curacao attracted more than 2.000 visitors whom savored creative and delicious culinary delicacies.

Flavors of Curaçao will grant visitors the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of dishes prepared by over 25 restaurants. Experience food trucks, international cuisines, mixology bars, urban foods and a local farmers’ market, all in one exciting event. Tickets to this unique culinary experience will start at NAFl. 25,- and later become NAFl. 30,-. Entrance to the event includes 5 tokens worth NAFl. 12,50. This year, Flavors of Curaçao will be hosting various international chefs that will delight the guests with a unique cooking demo. Confirmed Chefs include Official Head Chef of the White House Mr. John Muller, Disney Magic Kingdom Chef Antonio Albertsz, Executive Chef of Goya Fernando Desa and our very own Chef Justin Niessen, a young local chef who recently opened his own restaurant in Rotterdam. As a special treat on September 28th Flavors of Curaçao will also provide you with the opportunity to enjoy an intimate 3 course dinner prepared by these world renowned chefs.

In addition to the restaurants’ signature dishes Flavors of Curaçao will also be including  well- assorted premium bars and a Caribbean cocktail bar hosted by an International & award-winning bartender together with our local Bartender of the Year 2017. A culinary event of this magnitude obviously requires musical entertainment. Which is why Flavors of Curaçao will delight all its guests with entertainment by DJ Ryan and DJ LU-C.

Flavors of Curaçao is also excited to announce that this year, it has partnered with Kosecha Kultural in order to support the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. Visitors can purchase a special “Culture Pass” which provides entrance to both events on September 28th and September 29th. With each purchase of the Culture Pass a part of the proceeds will go directly to the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
